Update on life

Well it's been a while since I last updated. Still working on the weight loss, but I'm not doing the HCG anymore, I couldn't starve myself that much, and the lack of calorie intake was really hard for me because of my insulin problems.
I have been doing Weight Watchers for about 2 months now, and I am still losing, slowly, but I'm not gaining anything, so that is good. I've lost about 20 pounds total.

My mom, sister and I have been taking part of a food-co op called bountiful baskets, which is a weekly thing for $15.00, we get a basket full of fruits and vegetables. This has really helped us eat better.

We also went to our bank and met with a financial advisor and she put us on a budget, which has really helped us with not eating out as much. we get $35.00 every 2 weeks towards eating out, which is meant for social situations, like date nights, or going out with friends. Since Eli has been working so much overtime, we don't go out on dates anymore, so the money not used, can be saved for whatever we want.
It's been good for us so far.

Well everyone here is doing great. minus being sick, I've got a horrible cold, and now I think Ethan has it as well. It's been over a week now and I haven't started feeling better yet, just keeps getting worse. It sucks.

I just cant wait for summer to get here, some sunshine will do me good!

weight loss / week 1

total weight loss = 11.2 lbs. / 108.6 lbs. to go

The first week was okay, a lot of temptations, but not bad. We had to “cheat” a little last night because we went out to the mall and then to Target and we were planning to head over to Elijah’s parents and it was getting late and we were both hungry and we didn’t think we could survive waiting till 9 or 10pm to eat dinner (plus how good is it to eat that late) so we stopped and both got a grilled chicken sandwich and got Ethan a happy meal. The sandwiches filled us up and it wasn’t that un healthy, just not as good as our usual dinner, and not getting fries makes a HUGE difference! Smile But at least I didn’t gain anything this morning!

come on week 2!!!

Weight loss / Day 3 & 4

Total weight loss = 9.7 lbs. / 110.1 lbs. to go!

days 3 and 4 were slow, but nothing really exciting went on. I did take the kids to the park yesterday and I walked the track while pulling them in the wagon, then I let them play on the slides & swings, it’s so much fun for them. I’d like to take them everyday, but today is rainy and a little snowy out, so I’ll wait for a better day.

Well I realize I never posted my goals….

lose 20 lbs. = manicure / pedicure

lose 40 lbs. = haircut / color

lose 60 lbs. = new clothes

lose 80 lbs. = new tattoo!

I don’t know what I’ll do when I lose 100 if I do… but I want to wait till it’s closer to then. Maybe I’ll use it as an excuse to take a trip somewhere?

It’s still so far off… but I’m getting there. I rather my weight go down slowly then have it go up!

Weight loss / Day 3

Total weight loss = 7.9 lbs.  / 111.9 lbs. to go!

Day 3 was pretty good, we went to the Auto Expo and walked around and had a good time together.

We also went shopping and found a couple things to make my meals a little better. I can’t have regular salad dressing so we found me some 0 calorie, no sugar, raspberry vinaigrette (a lot better than just using vinegar) and some 0 carb, 0 sugar, bbq sauce. It should really help add some extra taste on top of the spices I can use, which will also make the diet easier.

I have noticed today that I am feeling full faster, even during my small 250 calorie meal. Smile That must mean that my stomach is shrinking! Hopefully it will make this a little easier!

No one said it would be easy, but it’ll be worth it! Smile

Weight loss / day 2

Total weight loss = 6.2 lbs. / 113.6 lbs. to go

The second day was a little harder than expected. I did the diet as I should, but it’s so hard watching the TV commercials with all the food advertisements on!

I seriously think Applebee's & Chili’s would love to make everyone fat because it’s better business for them…. right?

Well it’s just food, and it doesn’t control me… so I go on with the diet! Smile

Weight Loss Again

Well I started a new diet on Wednesday. It’s the HCG diet. I take HCG drops and eat 500 calories a day for 42 days. The first 2 days are just gorging days, and the days for the drops to get into your system, so I didn’t weigh those days.

Day 1- Friday, January 14th- total weight loss 3.6lbs (116.2 lbs. to go) / Eating 500 calories was pretty easy, the first week is probably going to be the easiest to resist the temptations of my old eating habits.

No more eating out, or greasy foods. Smaller serving sizes. This is going to be a life change on the way I eat. No I wont be eating only 500 calories a day the rest of my life, but I am going to start eating a lot less and a lot healthier. Trying to stay around 1200-1600 calories a day when off the diet should be easy, since it’s a LOT of food compared to the diet. It’s just a matter of choosing the correct foods to eat and the correct portions.

Well my doctor doesn’t support this diet, she’d rather I sign up for weight watchers, or go the other “easier” way and get gastric bypass surgery…. I’m not sure I’m ready to give in a do the surgery or that I can really afford to do the surgery. So this diet is going to be it for right now.

I do think if I drop down at least 50 lbs. with this diet I may start up with weight watchers. My Dr. thinks that the HCG diet is too easy, but really… I’m so heavy that I hurt all the time, my knee’s are always killing me, I need something easy to get me down to a weight were I’ll want to work out and CAN actually work out.

Sorry I guess I’m just lazy or something.

But really who am I kidding… How easy is it to find time to work out when you’re a stay at home mom watching kids all day and your Husband doesn’t have a regular schedule. I’d have to hire a babysitter just to get in the extra time to go work out.

Well, think what you want, I need to go now.
